With more than 30 years of construction experience, Scott McCurdy has accumulated extensive industry knowledge – particularly in the area of property damage remediation. As Co-Owner of Coastal Reconstruction Group, a general contractor and disaster restoration firm, he is active in more than 27 trade associations.

Scott’s vast experience positions him as an expert resource on disaster recovery and building restoration. He regularly leads educational seminars for industry professionals on topics such as insurance mitigation, disaster preparedness and remediation from wind, water, mold, fire and termite damage.

Scott credits his faith and his family’s support for his professional success. He has co-owned Coastal Reconstruction Group with his partner Don Brewer since 1998, when they purchased the company from Scott’s father. Since that time, Scott and Don have grown the company exponentially – launching Rapid Response, a commercial on-call emergency disaster recovery service with resources in 38 states. Scott also helped form another reconstruction service, Coastal Residential Corporation, a disaster remediation program for homeowners. In addition, he currently leads the sales and estimating team from the company’s Winter Park Branch in Central Florida.

To name a few, Scott is a member of the Florida Healthcare Association; Northeast Florida Builder’s Association; Northeast Florida Safety Council; Orlando Claims Association; National, Florida and Northeast Florida Associations of Residential Property Managers; Institute of Real Estate Management; Florida Assisted Living Association; and the Central Florida Hospitality and Lodging Association. Scott is also involved in the National, Florida, Houston, First Coast, Bay, Space Coast, Atlanta, North Central Florida, and Greater Orlando Apartment Associations. Scott was recently inducted to the Florida Assisted Living board for 2010-2011.

            

With roots in residential and commercial real estate, and later evolving into a seasoned property reconstruction authority, Lucas McCurdy has accumulated extensive industry knowledge – particularly in the area of property damage remediation. As the Director of Business Relations at Coastal Reconstruction Group, a family owned disaster restoration general contracting firm, he is part of the third generation management. There is no doubt property remediation is in Lucas’ blood; his vast experience positions him as an expert resource on catastrophe management and building restoration.

Lucas regularly leads educational seminars for industry professionals on topics such as disaster preparedness, insurance mitigation and remediation from fire, wind, water and mold.

He is active in a number of industry trade associations including Florida Healthcare Association; Florida Apartment Association; Florida Assisted Living Association; Institute of Real Estate Management; Orlando Claims Association. Lucas has been recognized for his contributions and professionalism within the Central Florida community as one of the Orlando Business Journals “40 under 40.”
