During the hurricane season of 2010, it was my good fortune to attend a Disaster Preparedness program, presented by Lucas McCurdy of Coastal Reconstruction Group. I was extremely impressed not only with the information supplied but with the manner in which it was presented. As the Business Development Director for the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation and the Vice President of the Brevard Association of Human Services I am often called upon the supply or suggest guests speaker for community groups. It has been my pleasure to recommend Lucas as his presentation is not just about hurricanes, but truly helps individuals prepare for all sorts of potential disasters. He explains what to do to be “prepared” but also what to do after the fact. The handouts he has prepared, especially the Hurricane Preparedness Supply Kit Check List, are valuable tools for the presentation attendees. Lucas is an excellent resource and presenter whom I highly recommend and continue to support.

Coastal Reconstruction Group’s seminar on disaster preparedness offers information and ideas that you may have not thought about in your Disaster Plan. Attending the seminar was time well spent for me.

I have found the company to be ready and available to fulfill any of my requests. I have not requested anything, to this point in our relationship, that they have not had some experience in doing. I am happy with the motivation of the staff to produce a good final product and not to just finish the job and get paid. I expect them to be one of my go to contractors for years to come.

Recently I had the privilege to host a Florida Assisted Living Association meeting in Miami Dade County, where Coastal Reconstruction Group, presented on Disaster Preparedness.

I found the presentation to be not only informative, and comprehensive, but dynamically enaging. All of the speakers brought a wealth of information and insight to the topic, and offered their own unique perspective on a topic which is far too often overlooked, and only emphasized in the threat of a looming disaster. The speakers overall message, about being prepared, and taking the time to asses your resources, prior to the crisis unfolding is a critical, often fleeting thought, until it is too late to prepare. I would encourage all of my colleagues to attend this seminar, as I found it very informative, and engaging.

We live in Florida, known to be vulnerable to Tropical Storms and Hurricanes. Coastal Reconstruction has given presentations represented by Lucas McCurdy for several health care alliance groups that I have coordinated. The presentations have been very helpful for the individuals in each of the groups, but also since many are responsible for clients, patients and residents in their healthcare role, it has proven invaluable to prepare for possible disasters.
